I use mine all the time while taking pictures - they are light, dry out quickly, and let me easily change lenses or camera settings. (I'll wear the fingerless version in slightly warmer weather).
These are ideal for fishing and hiking. I've gotten them wet and they will dry out within minutes. Compare that to cotton which, once wet, basically means you are done keeping your hands warm for the rest of the day.
Both medium and large sizes are available, and I have "hunter and photographer combo", which is one fingerless and one full-finger glove. They fit on either your left or right hand, so just order the size that fits your hands. The combo means you can have the extra insulation for one of your hands, while having the extra finger mobility on the other.
